Obituary

Margaret A. Sekelsky, 95, of Eau Claire passed away Sunday, September 6, 2009, at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire.,\r\nMargaret was born on February 14, 1914, in Eau Claire the daughter of Harold and Mary (Larson) Helgestad.\r\nMargaret married Steven Sekelsky in 1952 in Stillwater Minnesota.\r\nShe worked as a waitress at Dorsmith Café in Eau Claire, National Presto Industries in the munitions plant, and the Sterling Pulp and Paper Company for several years. Later in her life she became a homemaker to stay home and take care of her family.\r\nMargaret was a life long member of First Lutheran Church in Eau Claire \r\nMargaret is survived by her son, David Sekelsky of Eau Claire; a brother, Norman (Lois) Helgestad, of Chippewa Falls; cousin, Lucille (Wallace) Olson of Eleva; nieces, nephews; and by many family and friends.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Steven, in 1984; and a brother, Arnold (Mildred) Helgestad. \r\nFuneral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, at Lenmark Gomsrud Linn Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Miller officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire.
