Margaret L. Sorenson, 86, of St. John's Apartments, formerly of 528 Fountain Street, died Wednesday, April 3, 2002 at Sacred Heart Hospital. She was born on September 14, 1915 in Eau Claire to Jon and Selma (Stai) Johnson. Margaret graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School in 1934. She married Herbert G. Sorenson June 1, 1939 in Waukon, Iowa.\r\nShe was a charter member of Plymouth United Church of Christ and a member of its church circles. She was also a past member of the Sweet \r\nAdeline's. Margaret and Herb enjoyed each other's companionship during their 58 years of marriage.\r\nSurvivors include son, Darryl (Betty) of Brandon, Miss.; daughter, Karilyn Allen of Morgan Hill, Calif.; four grandchildren, Rick (Elizabeth) Moen of Ringle, Wisc., Jeffrey Moen of Plover, Wisc., Dana (Robert) Czech of Memphis, Tenn. and Kevin (Tara) Sorenson of Lake in the Hills, Ill; five great grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Harold (Shirley) Sorenson of Wausau and Duane (June) Sorenson of Kenosha; three sisters-in-law, Clara Johnson of West Salem, Ethel Sandvig of Eau Claire and Jane Stein of Madison and many nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband in 1997; her parents and a brother, Kenneth Johnson.\r\nFuneral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2002 at Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ with Pastor Chris W. Myers officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
