Margaret I. Wojt, 95, of Eau Claire, died on Friday, November 9, 2012, at the Clairemont Nursing & Rehab. Margaret was born on August 12, 1917, in Coronation, Alberta, Canada, the daughter of William and Molly (Larson) Anderson. She attended grade school at Boyd Elementary in the Second Ward of Eau Claire. Margaret worked at National Presto Cooker Company where she met and married her husband, Joseph L. Wojt on June 24, 1939 in Decorah, IA. After raising her family, Margaret went back to work cleaning rooms for the Antler's Motel in Eau Claire. She later worked for J.C. Penny Company where she also cleaned the sales floor and retired from there in 1972. Margaret was a lifelong and Charter member of North Presbyterian Church in Eau Claire where she held numerous positions on countless boards and committees. She also participated in the Church Women United Group of Eau Claire. Margaret is survived by her son, Roger (Diane) Wojt of Minong and formally of Eau Claire; two grandchildren, Holli and Cody (Junko Sakano) Wojt, and their children, Aika, Dakota and May; and one sister, Evelyn Mickelson of Eau Claire. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe in 1993; a son, James; two brothers, Duane and Cecil; and one sister, Arvella Bandoli. Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home WEST CHAPEL, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave, with Reverend Sandee Kosmo officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Eau Claire. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
