Margery G. McMahon, 90, a long time resident of Eau Claire, died Monday, February 28, 2005. She was born in Elroy, Wisconsin on February 12, 1915, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Ruebensaal) Neururer.\r\nMargery married Edward F. McMahon in Altoona on April 14, 1936.\r\nShe was a switchboard operator at Luther Hospital for 15 years and an Avon representative for many years. Margery loved playing cards, golfing, crocheting, and being with family and friends.\r\nShe is survived by her five children, Jim (Lynn) of Green Bay, Kathleen (Jerry) Kortness of Spooner, and John (Martha), Ed (Shari), and Patrick (Colleen), all of Eau Claire; 18 grandchildren, Jayne (Jim) Bafaro, Mike (Anne) McMahon, Tom McMahon, Mary (Paul) Smith, Patti (Dean) Hilgendorf, Christine (Mike) Mau, Delmer (Kate) LaCount, Craig (Eva) Kortness, Paul Bryan (Leslie) Kortness, Kristen (Joe) Pavlicek, Martie Lou (Sam) Hester, Steve (Leigh) McMahon, David (Cheri) McMahon, Erin (John) Northup, Beth (Joel) Sternitzky, Timothy McMahon, Ryan (Niki) Yarrington, and Justin (Julie) Yarrington; and 34 great-grandchildren.\r\nMargery was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward in 1952; a daughter, Judy McMahon; and daughter-in-law, Janice McMahon;\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 3, 2005, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 318 Fulton St., Eau Claire, with Father William A. Dhein officiating. Burial will be in St. Partrick Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the church.
