MARGIE E. GIBSON, 86, of 3300 London Road, a life long resident of Eau Claire, died Saturday, April 17, 1999 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. She was born October 2, 1912 in Eau Claire to James and Sadie (Lant) Jones. Margie married Jess B. Gibson in Eau Claire on February 28, 1937.\r\nShe worked 25 years at Eau Claire Co-op Shopping Center retiring as a manager of the courtesy counter, and was a member of the Co-op's Board of Directors for many years.\r\nAs a member of Grace Lutheran Church, she was active in Esther Circle, and Women Anew where she was treasurer for many years. She was also a member of Syverson Lutheran Home Auxiliary.\r\nSurvivors include a son, David (Karen) Gibson of Reno, NV; two granddaughters, Lisa (Mike) Benemelis of Roseville, CA, and Lori (Jim) Hagelston of Tracy,CA; a grandson, Kevin Gibson of Dublin, CA; six great-grandchildren, Kelly, Kimberly, Matthew and Darren Benemelis, and Joshua and Michelle Hagelston; two sisters-in-law, Mabel Shaw of Eau Claire and June Bechter of Sun City,AZ; many nieces and nephews; and a "Host of very close Friends" in Eau Claire. \r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Jess in 1968; a daughter, Jean Marie Gibson; three brothers, Harry, Robert and Guy Jones; five sisters, Grace Glomski, Hazel Jones, Ruby Vaccaro, Anna Stygar and Blanche Forcier. \r\nFuneral Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Howard Fehr officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.\r\nFamily requests memorials be directed to Grace Lutheran Church, 202 W.
