MARGIE L. STROBL, 93, formerly of 815 Chapin St., died Saturday, October 12, 1996 at the Clairemont. She was born November 8, 1902 in Dunn County near Elk Mound to Fred and Maud (Knott) Ross. \r\nShe married Paul Myers in Menomonie in 1925. They lived in the Menomonie area and later resided in Oshkosh and Appleton. In 1965, Margie married Charles Strobl in Appleton. Following his death in 1981, she returned to Eau Claire to be near her family. Margie enjoyed a variety of handwork, including crocheting and knitting.\r\nSurvivors include a son, Eugene (Jewel) Myers of Eau Claire; grandson, Bradley Myers of Fresno,CA; two granddaughters, Marn (Bill Barnette) Myers of Farmington Hills,MI and Trudy (Steve) Torok of Cottage Grove,MN; three great-grandchildren, Suzanne and Melissa Torok and Luke Barnette; two sisters, including twin sister, Marvella Robertson of Eau Claire and Etta (Erwin) Wiseman of Menomonie; many nieces and nephews.\r\nMargie was preceded in death by an infant son, Donald; a brother, LeRoy Cartwright and a sister, Mildred Hainer.\r\n Funeral Services will be at 2 P.M. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church Chapel with Pastor Barbara A. Koch officiating. Burial will be in Waneka Cemetery, Town of Spring Brook, Dunn County. Friends may call one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church. Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home is serving the family.
