Marian K. Smetana, 89, died Saturday, February 18, 2012, in Eau Claire. Marian was born December 20, 1922, in Bloomer, WI, to Frank and Susan (Ruff) Kramschuster. Marian graduated from Bloomer High School, the cClass of 1940. She later attended the Eau Claire Beauty School of Cosmetology, graduating in 1945. On August 5, 1947, Marian married Eugene Smetana at St. Paul`s Catholic Church in Bloomer, WI. Marian owned and operated Vogue Beauty Bower in Eau Claire from 1951 to 1971. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Marian is survived by one daughter, Suzanne (Dave) Patrow of Eau Claire; grandsons, Mitch Patrow (fiancée Sue Van Amber and her daughters, Carly and Hannah) and Ryan (Cortney) Patrow; great-granddaughters, Olivia, Ahnika and Abigail; and one sister, Eileen Morley of Bloomer. Marian is also survived by other relatives and friends Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; parents; one sister, Evelyn in infancy; and one brother, Wilmer Kramschuster. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2012, at the Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery, in Eau Claire with Monsignor Edmund Klimek and Father Eugene Klink officiating. Entombment will be at Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the Resurrection Chapel. The family suggests memorials be directed to the St. Francis Apartments, 851 University Dr. #1, Eau Claire, WI. 54701.
