Marie E. Diedrich, age 82 of Eau\r\nClaire, passed away with her family by her side on July 16th, 2011, at\r\nSacred Heart hospital.\r\n\r\nShe was born April 29th,\r\n1929, in the town of Seymour, WI, the daughter of Minnie and William Winget.\r\nMarie married Duane F. Diedrich on October 22nd, 1949. She worked at\r\nthe Telephone Company for 21 years, where she retired in 1988. She also worked\r\nas a manager and sales clerk at a small grocery store while raising her\r\nchildren. After retirement she worked as a sales clerk at Seifert's clothing\r\nstore - a job she truly loved. She was a member of St. Olaf's Parish where she\r\nserved with the women's group of St. Jude's for many years. Marie loved her\r\nhome and enjoyed gardening, reading, doing crafts, as well as sewing, knitting\r\nand crocheting. Most of all Marie enjoyed her family. \r\n\r\nShe is survived by and will be\r\ngreatly missed by her husband, Duane; 2 daughters, Sharon (Don) Derouin of\r\nMapleton, MN and Lynn (Fred) Stark of Eau Claire, WI; 4 grandchildren, Dana\r\n(Chad) Bratsch of Brooklyn Park, MN, Nick Derouin of Seattle, WA, Abbey Stark\r\nof Minneapolis, MN, and Cole Stark of Eau Claire, WI. She is also survived by 2\r\nbeautiful great-grandchildren, Beau and Braxton Bratsch, who gave her utmost\r\njoy. She is also survived and blessed by a very special niece, Ginger (Chuck)\r\nWadzinski of Schofield, WI and their son, who was like a grandson, Robbie\r\n(Michele) Wadzinski. \r\n\r\nShe was preceded in death by her\r\nparents; 1 sister, Martha Kelly; 1 brother Chuck Winget; 3 half-sisters,\r\nMildred Berry, Lou Benrud, and Winnie Dutter; 3 half-brothers, Otto Winget, Milton\r\nWinget, Louis Winget and a special niece, Alta Winrich. \r\n\r\nMass of Christian Burial will be\r\nheld at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at St. Olaf Catholic Church, 3220\r\nMonroe St., Eau Claire. Father Brian Konopa, who was a great support and was special\r\nto Marie during her illness, will be officiating the Mass celebrating Marie's\r\nlife. Entombment will be held at Calvary Cemetery - Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum,\r\nEau Claire. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, July 19, 2011,\r\nat Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 1st Ave., Eau\r\nClaire and one hour prior to Mass Wednesday at church. There will be a 7 p.m.\r\npublic Prayer Vigil Tuesday at the funeral home.A special thank you is extended to Charlotte, from St. Joe's Hospice, for the wonderful care and support given to Mom.The family will direct memorials in\r\nMarie's name to St. Olaf's Catholic Church and the Oncology Unit at Sacred\r\nHeart Hospital.
