MARIE EASTERSON, 90, of 725 Churchill Street, died Saturday, November 2, 1996 at Oakwood Villa, Altoona. She was born June 16, 1906 in New Glarus,WI to Albrecht and Elisa (Dummermuth) Aebersold. Soon after her birth her family moved to Otis, Colorado. At the age of seventeen she moved to Eau Claire to work as a housekeeper. Marie married Roy Easterson in Eau Claire on September 8, 1929. \r\nShe was a member of First Lutheran Church where she had been involved in numerous activities some of which included women's circle, Ladies Aid and quilting. More recently she attended adult day care at Grace Edgewood. \r\nSurvivors include a son, Robert (Arlene) of Oshkosh; three daughters, Shirley (Wayne) Gorell of Stevens Point, Joan (Kenneth) Wolf and Bonnie (Steve) Haug both of Eau Claire; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, John (Mildred) Aebersold of Vista, CA; nieces and a nephew ; and a very special friend, Doris Rohde of Eau Claire.\r\nMarie was preceded in death by her husband, Roy in 1988; and two brothers, Werner and Jack.\r\nHer children will remember her as a caring mother and their best friend.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 11 A.M. Tuesday at First Lutheran Church with Pastor Robert E. Esse officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Church Cemetery. Friends may call 4 to 8 P.M. Monday (Today) at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the Church.
