Marie R Huse, 98, of Eau Claire, died Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at the Clairemont Nursing Home. Marie was born in Eau Claire on November 2, 1912, a daughter of August and Minnie (Schlichting) Berndt. She was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church and Ladies Aide. Marie is survived by her three sons, Gerald (Janice) Huse of Minong, Ronald (Deloris) Huse and Charles Huse both of Eau Claire; five grandsons, Chris (Ruth) Huse, Thomas (Pattie) Huse, Gregory (Joanne) Huse, Robert Huse, and Timothy (Angela) Huse; ten great-grandchildren, Amy (Nathan) Ward, Staci (Kyle) Moldenhauer, Eric Huse, Preston Huse, Hayden Huse, Cody Huse, Madelyn Huse, Tyler Huse, Austin Huse, and Heaven Huse; one great-great granddaughter, Brynna Ward; two step-great grandsons, Andrew and Brandon Schnack; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick, in 1983; son, Dennis, in 1963; daughter, Janet Huse; one great-granddaughter; one great-great grandson; six sisters, Elsie Coach, Dorothea Berndt, Vera Johnson, Leona Schug, Ethel Jacklen, and Lillian Modl; her four brothers, Ernest, George, Fred and Ralph Berndt. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 31, 2011, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home WEST CHAPEL, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave. in Eau Claire, with Pastor Russell Kampfer officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire.
