MARIE D. PETERSON, 75, of 910 Cameron Trail, Eau Claire, died Wednesday, September 23, 1998 at Luther Hospital. She was born January 31, 1923 in Barron, Wisc. to Lector and Florence (Annis) Hudson. Marie married Robert D. Peterson in St. Paul, Minn., on August 22, 1942 and they moved to Eau Claire in 1965. Marie worked in the library at Roosevelt Elementary School, was a waitress at Westgate Sportsman Club, did housekeeping for many years in Eau Claire, and was later a dispatcher at Limo Cab and Shuttle until retiring in 1992.\r\nMarie was a member of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd and Eau Claire Women of the Moose Chapter #557 and its Academy of Friendship, and served on the Eau Claire Election Board.\r\nSurvivors include a son, Robert (Violet) Peterson of Belvidere, ILL; a daughter, Carol Jean (Robert) Gore of Eau Claire; sixteen grandchildren; two great grandsons; four sisters, Florence Payson of Spooner, Alberta Dagon of Kenosha, Velma (Bernie) Miner of Whitebear Lake, Minn. and Shirley (F.D.) Thorn of Zion, ILL.; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Roy, Albert, and Rufus Hudson; and two sisters, Beulah Busch and Naomie Niemann.\r\nFuneral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd with Pastor John E. Hosmann officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Friday (Today) at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Saturday at the church. Eau Claire Women of the Moose Chapter #557 will perform Moose Rites at 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.\r\n
