\r\n\r\nMarie E. Roll, age 84 of Eau Claire, died at Dove Healthcare on June 12, 2011.\r\nMarie was born on November 27, 1926, in Pennsylvania to Martin and Betsey (Wilson) Tosterud. She later married William "Bill" Roll in Minneapolis MN, on December 22, 1954.\r\nMarie attended St. Olaf College and graduated in 1948 with a Bachelor of Music Education. She then taught public school where she met Bill. She then attended the Minneapolis College of Music and graduated with her Masters Degree in 1955. They later moved to Eau Claire and she taught for over 25 years at UW Eau Claire retiring in 1988.\r\nMarie was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Roll in 2007. She is survived by children, Charles (Corinne) Roll, David Roll, Mary (Roger) Reinert, all of Eau Claire, and John Roll of Roseville, MN; and grandson, Daniel (Sarah) Reinert of Brookfield, WI. \r\nMemorial Service will be held at 11AM on Friday, June 17, 2011, at Christ Church Cathedral, 510 S. Farwell St., Eau Claire, with the Very Rev. Bruce N. Gardner and the Very Rev. H. Scott Kirby officiating. Private interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Eau Claire. Visitation will be held Thursday, from 5PM to 8PM, at Lenmark Gomsrud Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave., Eau Claire, also one hour prior to Mass at church. \r\nMemorials, in the name of Marie Roll, may be made to the Music Department Fund 238 with the UW-Eau Claire Foundation, PO Box 4004, Eau Claire WI, 54702-4004.
