Obituary

Marion M. Baumgartner, 71, of Eau Claire, died Monday, February 20, 2006, at her home. She was born on April 30, 1934, in Bloomer, WI, the daughter of Emil and Theresa (Meindel) Fehr. She graduated from St. Patrick High school in 1951, and then attended St. Benedict College in St. Joseph, MN.\r\nMarion married Thomas E. Baumgartner on May 4, 1968, at St. Patrick Catholic Church. \r\nThey with other family members owned and operated Fehr Concrete Products in Eau Claire and Rice Lake.\r\nMarion was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. \r\nShe excelled at many hobbies including knitting, sewing and cooking. Marion enjoyed outdoor activities, especially time at their cottage on Long Lake. \r\nShe was a person of great humor and enjoyed life, and was a devoted caregiver to her husband Tom and her parents. \r\nMarion is survived by her sister, Florence (Donald) Benson of Eau Claire; three nieces, Denise (Joe) LaPoint and Karen (Roger) Bell both of Eau Claire, and Luanne (Matt) Capodice of Wausau; a nephew, Douglas Cox of San Francisco; six great nieces; and dear friends, Connie Colbert of Woodville, and especially Josette Migawa of Eau Claire.\r\nMarion was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas; and her brother, John Fehr.\r\nMass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2006 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 322 Fulton St., Eau Claire, with Father William A. Dhein officiating. Entombment will be in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Saturday at the church. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is serving the family.\r\nFamily requests memorials be directed to Sacred Heart Hospital, 900 W. Clairemont Ave., Eau Claire, WI 54701 or St. Patrick Catholic Church, 448 North Dewey St., Eau Claire 54703 (mailing address).
