Marion R. Freimuth, 93, of Eau Claire died Thursday, November 10, 2005, at Syverson Lutheran Home. She was born in Eau Claire on November 5, 1912, the daughter of Arthur and Nora (Oien) Steiner. She remained a life-long resident of Eau Claire. \r\nMarion received her two year teaching certificate in 1932. She continued her education and received her teaching degree from UW-Eau Claire in 1944.\r\nMarion married Harley Freimuth on July 28, 1944, at Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, where she was a lifetime member. \r\nShe was an elementary school teacher in the Eau Claire School District from September 1933 through June 1944. She later re-entered the teaching profession in Eau Claire from October 1967 until her retirement in June 1975. Marion loved teaching and her favorite class was second grade. She taught the importance of being kind and of treating others as we would hope to be treated. After her retirement Marion volunteered at Luther Hospital for many years.\r\nShe lived her life putting others first. She never complained and always appreciated everyone. Her life-long friends were a very important part of her life. Marion truly left a mark on every heart that she ever came into contact with.\r\nShe is survived by three nieces, Sibyl (Dennis) Reiter of Rhinelander, Sharon Martin of Jupiter, Florida, and Wendy Morris of Shawano; a nephew, Lynn (Nancy) Larsen, of Rhinelander; special brother-in-law, Norman Larson of Shawano; and will be greatly missed by a daughter in her heart, Judith (Richard) Kleiner of Eau Claire and their son, Ross.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Harley; and two brothers, George and Gordon Steiner.\r\nMemorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2005, at Grace Lutheran Chapel with Pastor Rolf A. Nestingen officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Monday at the church chapel.
