Marion F. Soley, 86, of Eau Claire left her loving family to be with the Lord on Friday, November 14, 2008, at her home. She was born in Dixon, Illinois on June 5, 1922, to John and Gertrude (Everts) Coakley. As a small child her family moved to Fairchild, and later to Augusta where Marion graduated from Augusta High School.\r\nMarion married Arthur P. Soley Sr. on March 11, 1940 in Lampson, WI.\r\nMarion loved life, her family and faith. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, playing cards and spending time with her sisters and friends around the kitchen table. \r\nMarion was a member of Sacred Heart Parish for over 60 years.\r\nShe was blessed with three children, Arthur "Pat" (Patricia) Soley Jr. of Eau Claire, Michael Soley of Colgate and Debra (Edward) Brennan of West Bend; eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; five sisters, Julia Sapp of Racine, Gertrude Gilbertson of Beloit, Margaret Niebauer and Doris Johnson both of Eau Claire and Avis (Herb) Holte of Sparta; a sister-in-law, Betty McManus of Eau Claire; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 47 years Arthur in 1987; beloved daughter-in-law, Nancy Soley in 2008; a sister, Eleanor Karrow in 1973; and six brothers-in-law; and nephews.\r\nMass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2008, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Monsignor Edmund Klimek officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in the town of Washington. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church. There will be a 7 p.m. Public Prayer Service on Tuesday at the funeral home.\r\nIn lieu of flowers, her family requests memorials are directed to St. Joseph's Home Hospice2661 Cty Hwy I, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729, who gave Marion such loving care.\r\n
