Marion Louise Swanson, 84, of Eau Claire, formerly of Minneapolis, died Sunday, January 16, 2005, at Luther Hospital. She was born September 24, 1920, in Minneapolis, the daughter of Roy and Anna (Hegstrom) Nielsen.\r\nShe graduated from Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis. She was employed as a secretary at the St. Louis Park School system.\r\nMarion married Theodore L. Swanson in 1939 in Minneapolis.\r\nSurvivors include her three children, Lorraine Helmer of Eau Claire; two sons, Paul Swanson and his wife Sandra of Center City, MN and T. Leonard Swanson and his wife Marjorie of Lakewood, CO; many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her sister, Grace Jensen of Golden Valley, MN.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Theodore in 1960; and her brother, Weston Nielson.\r\nMemorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, January 21, 2005, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Olson officiating. Burial will be at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis. Visitation for relatives and friends will be one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
