Obituary

Marjorie A. Everson, 95, of Eau Claire died Sunday, February 10, 2008, at Dove Healthcare and Rehabilitation. She was born in Duluth, Minnesota on July 4, 1912, the daughter of Emil and Dagmar (Antoine) Hanson.\r\nFollowing graduation from Eau Claire Senior High School Marjorie attended Eau Claire Teachers College for two years.\r\nMarjorie married Norman Everson on June 28, 1939 in Eau Claire at First Presbyterian Church.\r\nShe worked as a tire builder at Uniroyal for 36 years until her retirement in 1970.\r\nShe was a very active member of First Presbyterian church. As a couple Marjorie and Norman enjoyed their membership at Hillcrest Country Club.\r\nMarjorie is survived by many nieces and nephews, including Kim (Charles) Gorton and Mary (Jan) Link both of Eau Claire; and very special friend, Kenneth Link of Eau Claire.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Norman in 2001; her parents; and her brother, Ronald Hanson. \r\nHer family extends their thanks for the kindness she received from the staff at Dove Healthcare; caregiver, Sharon Ayers; and her roommate at Dove Healthcare, Harriet Leipnitz.\r\nMemorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 15, 2008, at First Presbyterian Church, Eau Claire with the Rev. Eric G. Nielsen officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Eau Claire at a later date. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Friday at the church. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is serving her family. \r\nFamily requests memorials be directed to First Presbyterian Church, 2112 Rudolph Rd., Eau Claire, WI 54701.\r\n
