Marjorie S. Gullikson, 86, of Eau Claire was called home by her Savior on Thursday, May 21, 2009, at Oakwood Villa in Altoona. She was born in Devils Lake, ND, on November 10, 1922, to Edward and Eleanor (Hunter) LaPoint. \r\nShe graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School with the class of 1940.\r\nMarjorie married Carl G. Gullikson on July 27, 1940, in Eau Claire.\r\nShe was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to V.F.W. Post #305, and a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. \r\nMarjorie loved to bake, play Bingo, and host her Norwegian relatives when they visited. She was happy being surrounded by her family and friends.\r\nMarjorie and Carl spent many summers at their cabin in Chetek where they hosted many family reunions. She lived on the North side of Eau Claire for most of her married life raising her five children. Marjorie had recently lived at Oak Gardens prior to Oakwood Villa.\r\nMarjorie is survived by her five children; Gordon (Sue) of Chippewa Falls, Carol (David) Blaeser of New Auburn, Thomas (Carolyn) of Lakeville, MN, Steven (Jean) of Andover, MN, and Richard (Julie) of Newport, MN; thirteen grandchildren; Tim (Anita) Gullikson, Mike (Angel) Gullikson, Kimberly (Grant) Heiman, Tammy Blaeser, Matthew D. Blaeser, Heath, Jared, Shane, Robert, Kevin, Amy, Brooke, and Ashley Gullikson; four great grandchildren, Garrett, Jayde, Breanna, and Mackenzie Heiman; two step- great grandchildren, Courtney (Robert) Wood, and Justine Ude; two sisters, Lorraine Barber of Eau Claire and Barbara (Merlin) Pecka of Stanley; five brothers; Harold (Donna) LaPoint of Fall Creek, Jerry (Jackie) LaPoint, Doug (Rose) LaPoint, Joe (Denise) LaPoint, and Bill (Diane) LaPoint all of Eau Claire; sister-in-law, Merle (Harold) Gardow and Ann Gullikson both of Eau Claire, Betty Douville of Chippewa Falls; brother-in-laws, Gary (Janice) Gullikson and John R. Sauer both of Rockford, IL; and many nieces and nephews. \r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband Carl; her parents; Carl's parents Fred and Elsie Gullikson; sister, Eva Sauer, four brothers-in-law, Gustave Gullikson, Ralph Douville, Harold Barber, and Andrew (Doris) Gullikson; and sister-in-law, Ethel (Theodore) Weasler.\r\nFuneral services will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Carlton Kangas officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at Our Redeemer Lutheran, 610 Fall St., Eau Claire.
