Obituary

Mark Steven Champion, 45, of Denver, Colo., died Monday, December 18, 2006, at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Hospital in Denver following a lengthy battle with leukemia and respiratory problems. Mark was born March 28, 1961, the son of Gary and Yvonne Champion of Eau Claire.\r\nMark worked as a contractor for Delta Airlines as a trainer for ground support personnel. His entire adult life was spent working in the airline industry which he loved being a part of.\r\nMark was a proud father to his sons Christopher of Denver, Colo. and Nicholas of Portland, Ore. He is also survived by his parents, Gary and Yvonne Champion of Eau Claire; two brothers, Gregory Champion and Kevin (Kristina) Champion, both of Eau Claire; two nephews; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.\r\nMemorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 6, 2007, at Truax Congregational United Church of Christ in Eau Claire with the Rev. David Stratton officiating. Entombment will be at a later date in Lakeview Cemetery, Eau Claire. Family and friends may call one hour prior to the time of services Saturday at the church.\r\n
