Marlene D. Stevens, 72, of Eau Claire died Thursday, July 2, 2009, at Colfax Health and Rehabilitation Center in Colfax. She was born in Eau Claire on August 1, 1936, a daughter of Richard&Dorothy (Berg) Olson.\r\nMarlene married Phillip A. Stevens in Eau Claire on October 31, 1954. \r\nMarlene worked as a Nurse's Aid at Mt. Washington Nursing Home in the early 1960's, raised her four children, and then went on to be the proud owner/operator of her restaurant (Take-n-Bake Pizza) with her husband and three daughters.\r\nShe loved gardening, silk flower arranging, and spending time with her family&friends.\r\nMarlene is survived by her husband, Phillip; her four children, Cheryl (Tom) Anderson, Susie (Butch) Pinkert, Lori (Jeff) Miland&Michael Stevens, all of Eau Claire; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Tamara (Robert) Bergman.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Sandra Kaplar.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2009, at Lenmark Gomsrud Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave., Eau Claire, with Rev. David Stratton officiating. Burial will be in Brunswick Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. (Today) Sunday and one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.\r\nShe will be loved & missed by all of us, and forever in our hearts. \r\n
