Mary S. Bresina, 91, of Eau Claire died Saturday, December 23, 2006, at Sacred Heart Hospital. She was born in Walla Walla, WA on November 19, 1915, the daughter of John and Elvina (Berg) Bruer. In 1916 Mary and her parents returned to Eau Claire. \r\nShe graduated from St. Patrick's High School in 1934, and then worked at Sterling Pulp and Paper Company until 1949.\r\nMary married John A. Bresina on August 28, 1948 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Eau Claire.\r\nShe was a member of St. James the Greater Catholic Church. Mary enjoyed the game of bridge and belonged to various bridge clubs throughout her life.\r\nMary is survived by a daughter, Ann Bresina; and a son, John, both of Eau Claire.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother, John Bruer.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 27, 2006, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Father John A. Schultz officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Eau Claire. Visitation will be one hour prior to time of services at the funeral home on Wednesday.\r\nIn lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be of the donor's choice.
