Obituary

MARY L. EASTENSON, 67, of 404 Winter St.; died Monday, November 11, 1996 at Luther Hospital. She was born March 6, 1929 in New Auburn to Avon and Florence (Geary) Boldon. Mary married Olaf Eastenson on August 7, 1948 in Ladysmith. She worked 17 years at Uniroyal until her medical retirement in 1964.She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and VFW Post 305 Auxiliary. Mary was a nature lover and enjoyed taking along her poodle, "Tooter" for car rides with her as she went out to observe changes of the seasons. \r\nSurvivors include a son, Olaf "Ole" (Cindy Sue) of Lino Lakes, MN; two step-sons, Bruce(Ruth) and Errol(Jane) both of Eau Claire; six step-grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren; a brother, Mac(Joyce)Boldon of Eau Claire; three sisters, Leah Kruschke of Eau Claire, Constance Kramer and Audrey Kelly both of New Auburn; three brothers-in-law, Calvin and Raymond Silvernail both of New Auburn, Sam Scarcelli of Southgate, MI; nineteen nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Jane Chapman of Eau Claire.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Olaf in 1990; her parents; and three sisters, Vernadele and Lucille Silvernail, and Nancy Scarcelli.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church, Eau Claire with Dr. Ronald D. Wilson officiating. Graveside services will be held at 12:30 P.M. Wednesday at Island Lake Cemetery, Rusk County. Friends may call one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church. \r\nThe Family requests memorials be directed to First Presbyterian Church, Eau Claire.
