\r\nMary C. Fedie, age 87, died Tuesday, March 22, 2011 surrounded by her family at the Oakwood Villa Nursing Home where she was living for the past year. \r\n She was born and grew up in Menomonie, WI to Henry and Mary Cordell Price. She married Lawrence Fedie on April 28, 1951 and they lived in Lima, WI where Lawrence ran the Tarrant Creamery until 1970. They then moved to Foster, WI where they lived until 1983. Due to Lawrence's declining health, they moved to Eau Claire, WI where Mary lived until moving into Oakwood Villa Nursing Home.\r\n Survived by her seven children, Mark Fedie, Eau Claire, Kim Hall, Fall Creek, Barry (Lori) Fedie, Hammond, Greg Fedie, Arcadia, Ann (Bruce) Johnson, Strum, Lisa Lindner, Osseo, and Jack Fedie, Arcadia; her nine grandchildren, Merica (Mike) Loesel, Tony (Heidi) Hall, Krissy (Dan) Campbell, Mike Fedie, Lindsay Lindner (Luke Martin), Kelly Hall (Joe Schaefer), Allison Fedie, Chris Nordby-Fedie, and Alex Hall; and her 8 great-grandchildren, Ethan, Laiken and Hannah Hall, Garret and Brady Loesel, Nathan Fedie, Piper Fedie, Harley Schaefer and soon to come baby Campbell. She is also survived by her foster sister, Virginia Cannon, Menomonie and her family; sisters-in-law, Theresa Fedie, Durand, Juliana Fedie, Eau Galle and Gertrude Fedie, Mondovi and many neices and nephews.\r\n Preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence; her parents, Henry and Mary Price; brothers, Kirby and Robert Price and sister, Margery Svare. \r\n Mary loved any and all crafts, especially loved playing cards, reading, puzzles, thrift sales and loved to be on-the-go. Before marriage, she worked at the Parker Pen Company in Eau Claire and after moving to Foster, spent many years at the Osseo Hospital working in dietary. She made many life long friends of whom she enjoyed spending time with whenever she could. \r\n We would like to thank all of the staff at the Oakwood Villa Nursing Home for the care and compassion they showed Mary this last year. They helped her and us through this difficult time and for that we are grateful. Our thanks also to Community Health Partnership for all of the services and care they provided. We would also like to thank Dr. Usher from Midelfort Clinic for all the care he gave Mary for many years. She loved teasing and joking with him. Our thanks also to Dr. Nordquist at Luther Hospital. She loved giving him a hard time even though she was there to see him in the Emergency Dept. He referred to her as "priceless". \r\n A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at St. James the Greater Catholic Church, 2502 11th St. Eau Claire, with Father John Schultz officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7:30 on Friday, March 25, 2011 at Lenmark Gomsrud Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave., Eau Claire, with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the Mass at church. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Eau Claire. \r\n
