Mary M. Howie, 90, of Eau Claire, died Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at Grace Woodlands in Eau Claire. She was born in Eau Claire on October 28, 1924, to Joseph and Rose (Deitrick) Sonderegger. Mary was united in marriage to Warren Howie on April 15, 1950, in Eau Claire. He passed away in 2005 Mary was one of the state's first teacher's aides in the La Crosse and Eau Claire School Systems until her retirement in 1986. Mary is survived by her son, Mark (Brenda Cogswell) Howie of Cadillac, MI; her daughter, Maureen (Rick) Forster of Eau Claire; six grandchildren, Nicole, Sarah, Kaitlyn, Rebecca, Mollie Jo and Grace; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Warren; one sister, Freida (Fred) Harms; and two brothers, John (Betty) Sonderegger and Joseph (Rosy) Sonderegger. Funeral Services will be held at 12 Noon, on Saturday, December 6, 2014, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home 814 First Ave. in Eau Claire, with Father George Thayilkuzhithottu officiating. Entombment will be in the Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum, Eau Claire. Family and friends may call from 10:30 a.m. up until the time of services at the funeral home.
