MARY KATE LOUISE JOHNSON, 91, a resident of Syverson Lutheran Home died Saturday, January 13, 2001 at Syverson Lutheran Home. She was born on October 2, 1909 on her family farm in the Town of Brunswick to Henry and Bertha (Roggow) Dreke one of sixteen children.\r\nMary married Bennnie O. Johnson on March 11, 1929 in Eau Claire. They were life long residents of Eau Claire.\r\nShe was a member of the Homemaker's Club, and Grace Lutheran Church where she participated in church circles.\r\nSurvivors include a son, Roger (Dawn) Johnson of Dresser, WI; a daughter, Arleen (Aubrey) Olson of Freeport, IL; seven grandchildren, Steven (Nancy Jo) Olson, Kris and Karin Olson, Suzanne (John) Marschang, Lee (Nancy) Johnson, Eric Johnson and Kenneth (Robyn) Johnson; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruby Johnson of Eau Claire.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bennie in 1998; a daughter, LaVon; and fourteen brothers and sisters.\r\nFuneral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2001 at Grace Lutheran Church Chapel with Pastor Andrew Boe officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home is serving the family.\r\nFamily requests memorials be directed to Grace Lutheran Church.\r\n
