Obituary

Mary E. Kuhn, 70, of Eau Claire, died peacefully, with her family at her side on Friday, September 12, 2008, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire of complications from pneumonia.\r\nShe was born on November 20, 1937, in Eau Claire to Clarence and Minnie (Nowak) Bowman.Mary graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School in 1956.\r\nShe was united in marriage to David J. Kuhn on May 28, 1960, in Eau Claire.\r\nMary was a member of St. James the Greater Catholic Church.\r\nShe is survived by two sons, Michael (Tammy) Kuhn and Timothy "Skinn" Kuhn, both of Eau Claire; a daughter, Janice (Cory) Williams of Woodbury, MN; six grandchildren, Ryan Seidl, Nathan and Matthew Kuhn, Ethan, Reed and Claire Williams; and by a brother, Clifford (Joyce) Bowman of Eau Claire.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David in 1997; and by a brother, Steve.\r\nMary was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She touched many lives for the past nine years as a greeter at Marshfield Clinic on Craig Road. \r\nMass of Christian burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 17, 2008, at St. James the Greater Catholic Church with Father John A. Schultz celebrating the Mass. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Eau Claire. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and on hour prior to Mass Wednesday at the church. There will be a 7 p.m. Public Prayer Service Tuesday evening at the funeral home.\r\nThe family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Sacred Heart Hospital, and to family and friends who have supported them through this difficult journey.
