MARY A. PHILLIPS, 89, of 1117 Marshall St., died Saturday, December 26, 1998 at her home. She was born on May 29, 1909, in Superior, Wisc., to Boleslaw and Katazyna (Kusiak) Tyskewicz. She attended St. Stanislaus Elementary School and graduated from Superior Central High School. She attended Bartley Business College in Superior, Wisc..Mary moved to Detroit, Mich. and worked as a secretary for Borden's Co., for sixteen years. She married Victor W. Rousseaux in Detroit in 1933. They moved to Superior in 1947. Victor died in 1960. She married Alex Phillips in Superior in 1963. Alex died in 1980. She was a secretary at Willie Construction Co. in Superior until her retirement in 1979.\r\nMary was a member of St. James The Greater Catholic Church and St. James Rosary Confraternity since 1981.\r\nSurvivors include her sister, Stella Nezworski of Scottsdale, AZ; nephews, George (Carol) Nezworski of Appleton, WI., and Joe (Anne) Nezworski of Eau Claire, Robert, Dale, Victor and Bob Rousseaux of Detroit, MI; a niece, Kathy (Tom) Hays of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; a grand nephew, Michael Nezworski; three grand nieces, Laura and Sarah Nezworski and Stacy (Rob) Hutchinson all of Eau Claire; and a brother-in-law, Chester Filipczak of Duluth, MN. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; a brother, Charles; a sister-in-law, Jane Stringer; and a brother-in-law, Louis Nezworski M.D.\r\nFuneral services will be at 9:00 a.m. Thursday at St. James The Greater Catholic Church with Father John A. Schultz officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Superior, Wisc. Friends may call one half hour prior to services Thursday at the church. Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral home is serving the family.
