Mary L. Simonson, 69, of Eau Claire passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at Sacred Heart Hospital.\r\nShe was born in Whitehall, WI, on July 1, 1938, the daughter of Harold and Lulu (Thompson) Shope.\r\nMary enjoyed playing cards, bingo, crossword puzzles, and watching game shows. She also liked to fish with her family.\r\nMary is survived by her two daughters, Debi (Chet) Robinson of Eau Claire and Julie (Don) Billingsley of Eau Claire; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a niece; and a nephew.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, John Shope. \r\nFuneral services will be held at 12 p.m., Monday, June 30, 2008, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Pastor David J. Irgens officiating. Burial will be in the Old Whitehall Cemetery, rural Whitehall, WI. Visitation will be one hour prior to service Monday at the funeral home.
