Mary C. (Flynn) Tainter, 84, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2007, at Luther Hospital. She was born in Eau Claire on July 24, 1922, the daughter of Dr. Leo and Isabelle (Larson) Flynn. \r\nMary wed John "Jack" E. Tainter on April 24, 1954. They were married for 22 years and had one daughter, Mary Beth.\r\nMary graduated from St. Patrick's High School in 1939. She went on to receive her nursing diploma from the Luther Hospital School of Nursing in 1943. Mary worked as a registered nurse at Luther Hospital, retiring in 1993.\r\nShe was a member of Elk Ladies BPO Lodge #402, Eau Claire for many years.\r\nMary is survived by her daughter, Mary Beth (David) Lichtor; two grandsons, Peter and Brian, all of St. Paul, MN.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents, her former husband, Jack in 1996, and her sister, Ruth in 2003. \r\nMass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 26, 2007, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Eau Claire with Monsignor Edmund Klimek officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Menomonie. Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.\r\nCorrespondence should be directed to Mary Beth Lichtor, P.O.
