Mary Lou V. "Dol" Stehle, 91, of Eau Claire, WI, passed into the loving arms of her Lord on Thursday, April 1, 2010, at Dove Healthcare in Eau Claire. She was born on September 9, 1918, in Eau Claire to John W.&Gunda Olson. Mary Lou graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School in 1936. She worked as a cost accountant at the Gillette Rubber Company from 1936-1946. \r\nShe married Walter A. Stehle on April 25, 1942, in Eau Claire.\r\nMary Lou enjoyed reading her Bible, gardening and canning with her husband, Walt, embroidery, crafts, bowling, cribbage, sewing, identifying wild flowers, and camping in her younger days. She loved sports, especially baseball. Mary Lou loved to sing, dance&laugh. \r\nShe sang in the Our Saviors Lutheran Choir for many years, belonged to the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd Ladies Circle, and was a Camp Fire Girl Group Leader.\r\nMary Lou is survived by her devoted children, Joan (Larry) Werner of Chippewa Falls, Tom (Margarita) of Santa Fe, NM & Peter of Eau Claire; her beloved grandchildren, Joe (Katy) Werner of Giessen, Germany, Andrew Werner of Chippewa Falls, & step-grandson Michael (Teri) Werner of Stevens Point; sister, Glendora Rada; sisters-in-law, Reta & Judy Olson of Eau Claire; nephews Jack Rada & Thomas Olson of Eau Claire; & niece Laurie (Jay) Lauer of Port Washington. \r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband Walter in 1984; her parents, John Waldimore & Gunda Olson; sister, Lillian Anglim; brothers, Gerald & Richard Olson; brothers-in-law, Bill Anglim & Clarence Rada; and her beloved dog, Sparky. \r\nFuneral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd with Pastor Thomas Bryan officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, at Lenmark Gomsrud Linn Funeral Home. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery. \r\nMemorials are preferred to the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Wisconsin, 1227 B Menomonie St., Eau Claire, WI 54703. The family would like to express their most sincere appreciation to the staff at Dove Healthcare for the outstanding and compassionate care given to Mary Lou.
