MAXINE V. BRANSHAW, 86, of Eau Claire, passed away on October 3, 2011, at the Chippewa Manor in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. She was born in Eau Claire on May 19, 1925, to Louis and Louise (Tollefson) Cole. She graduated from Eau Claire Senior High in 1943. Maxine married Frederick H. Branshaw on July 17, 1943, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. She worked at the Wisconsin Department of Taxation and Shedd Brown Manufacturing Company. Maxine was active in many societies at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Survivors include one son, Frederick Branshaw Jr. of Cannon Falls, MN; three daughters, Joanne (Gary) Murray of Inver Grove Heights, MN, Becky (Robert) Henning of Eau Claire and Dede Piersa of Chaska, MN; seven grandchildren, Marty, Shannon, Nikki, Jessica, Kelly, Ashley and Jessilyn; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred, in 1997; and two daughters, Jayne and Kathryn. Funeral Services for Maxine will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2011, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Carlton Kangas officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the memorial service. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be directed to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. A special thank you to Dr. Jean Anderson, Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, for her care and compassion to Mom and our family. Also, thank you to Chippewa Manor Nursing Home for their care and compassion.
