MAYBELLE H. GUTSCH, 84, of 2404 Lynn Ave., Altoona, died peacefully on Thursday, December 7, 2000, at home, with her family beside her. She was born on October 19, 1916 in Eau Claire to John and Mary (Bates) Lindsley. \r\nShe married Ralph A. Gutsch in Eau Claire on January 3, 1934.\r\nMaybelle is survived by two daughters, Marjorie Swanson of Altoona and Gretchen (George) Carter of Eau Claire; five sons, Douglas (Carol) Gutsch, Gordon (Donna) Gutsch, and Dennis Gutsch, all of Altoona, Ramon Gutsch, and Jeffrey (Christine) Gutsch, both of Eau Claire; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a long-time friend and sister-in-law Ione Gutsch, of Eau Claire. \r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph in 1973; two sisters, Adele Waller and Florence Wies; two brothers, William and Charles Lindsley; and a daughter-in-law, Mary Gutsch.\r\nMaybelle will be forever remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. \r\n " I have set the LORD always before me. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken... You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand."\r\nFuneral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Sister Mary Jane Cournoyer officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call from 10 a.m. until time of services Monday at the funeral home.
