MAYNARD "Ditt" L. DITTNER, 69, 2409 11th St., died Wednesday, February 26, 1997 atLuther Hospital. He was born July 4, 1927 to Henry and Sara (Cole) Dittner in Loyal.Ditt married Virginia L. Johnson on September 25, 1948 at the Drammen Lutheran Church in the Town of Drammen. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, until his honorable discharge in 1944. He drove for Eau Claire City Bus Company for nine years, then worked at Walker Bros. , and was a truck driver with Witte Transportation for twenty-one years until his retirement in 1982. Ditt was a coach for many years with the Eau Claire Juniors and Eau Claire Flying Eagles Ski Club. His family will remember their many experiences hunting and fishing together. \r\nSurvivors include his wife Virginia "Jean" Lucille; two sons, Daniel (Sharon) Dittner, and David (Amy) Dittner, both of Eau Claire; four daughters, Sandra (Daniel) Johnson, Altoona, Judy Grossklaus, Cynthia (James) Hanson, and Sherri Clark, all of Eau Claire; a brother, Norman, Eau Claire; a sister, Margaret Walker, Augusta; and ten grandchildren, Jennifer Marx Grossklaus, Santa Monica, CA, Jason Grossklaus, Menomonie, Matthew and Amanda Johnson, both of Altoona, Hannah, Sadie, Laura, and Ben Dittner, Jessica Jenson,and Kyra Clark, all of Eau Claire. \r\nDitt was preceded in death by his parents.\r\nServices will be 11 A.M. Saturday at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, with Pastors John E. Hosmann and Cynthia A. Crane officiating. Friends may call 4 to 8 P.M. Friday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home, and 10:30 until time of services Saturday at the Church.
