Lindy Swatkowski entered the presence of her Savior on July 27, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend whose life was marked by unwavering faith, selfless love, and joyful service to others.

Lindy was the devoted wife of Jonathan for nearly 24 years. They met while attending Bethel University, where Lindy was the one who introduced herself to Jonathan, beginning a love story that spanned more than two decades. She was his biggest supporter through every season of life, laughed at his terrible jokes, stood beside him through life's greatest joys and hardest moments, and always made him feel like the most loved person in the world. Together they built a home filled with faith, laughter, hospitality, and unconditional love.

Being the mom of Avett and Xavier was the greatest joy of her life. She treasured every Disney adventure, every family vacation, every game night, every laugh, and even the ordinary moments together. She wanted her boys to know they were deeply loved, and she filled their lives with memories they will carry forever.

Whether she was caring for patients at work, serving at church, opening her home to family and friends, or simply showing up for someone who needed her, serving others was at the heart of who Lindy was. She had a remarkable ability to make people feel loved, cared for, and welcomed. Whether opening her home, preparing meals, gathering people around the table, or simply showing up when someone needed her, she served with quiet generosity. She never sought recognition for the way she served others. It was simply the way she lived.

Above all, Lindy's faith in Jesus was the foundation of her life. It shaped the way she loved, served, and cared for others. Her faith wasn't something she simply believed. It was something she lived every day.

When cancer entered her life, Lindy met it with extraordinary courage, unwavering faith, and fierce determination. She fought for every moment she could spend with her family, wanting Avett and Xavier to always know how deeply they were loved and that she never stopped fighting for them. Her strength wasn't found in pretending the journey was easy, but in choosing hope, grace, and love each day.

Lindy found joy in God's creation. She loved caring for her plants, filling the yard with beautiful flowers, birdwatching out the back window, and traveling with the people she loved most. She appreciated the beauty in the little things and found peace in the world God created.

Lindy will be remembered for the way she made people feel. She had a gentle spirit, a generous heart, and a gift for making others feel seen, welcomed, and deeply loved. Her quiet strength, steadfast faith, and unwavering love leave a legacy that will continue to shape her family and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jonathan; her cherished sons, Avett and Xavier; her parents, Lee and Janet Zoellner; her sister, Liz (Calvin) Kunkle; her brother, Michael (Abbie) Zoellner; her extended family; and many dear friends whose lives were forever changed by knowing her.

Though our hearts are broken, we find peace in knowing that Lindy is finally free from pain and in the presence of the Savior she loved so deeply. While we grieve the life we wished we could have shared with her, we rejoice in the promise that this goodbye is not forever. One day, by God's grace, we will be together again.

Lindy's greatest legacy lives on in the two boys she loved with all her heart. May they always know that their mom loved them beyond measure, prayed for them faithfully, and fought for every moment she could spend with them.

Our family would like to express its heartfelt gratitude to the many healthcare workers, family, friends and members of the community who offered prayers, encouraging words, meals and unwavering support through Lindy’s battle with cancer. Your love and compassion brought comfort and strength during this difficult journey and will never be forgotten.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 8, 2026 at Valleybrook Church in Eau Claire. Visitation will be held at the Church on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. A light luncheon will be served at the Church immediately following the service.

Parking options available for Valleybrook Church (412 S. Barstow Street, Eau Claire). There are different options available for parking at Church. You can park in the Public parking lot on S. Farwell and Gray Street. Or you can find a parking spot on a street around the Church’s location and walk to the church from there.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who wish to honor Lindy's memory to contribute to a GoFundMe established for Avett and Xavier. The fund will help provide for their future as they grow. Nothing mattered more to Lindy than her boys, and supporting them is a beautiful way to honor the love she poured into them every day.
