Michael W. Burland, 52, of Eau Claire, died Saturday, August 26, 2006 at his home.\r\nHe was born April 8, 1954 in Eau Claire to William and Avis (Gunderson) Burland. Mike grew up and attended Eau Claire Schools graduating from Memorial High School. \r\nMike served his country for a short time in the U.S. Navy until his Honorable Discharge.\r\nHe worked for fourteen years at Luther Hospital in the housekeeping and maintenance departments.\r\nHe was an avid deer hunter, fisherman, and craftsman.\r\nMike is survived by his father, William Burland of Eau Claire; and a sister, Ann (Fred) Mitts of Westmount, IL.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his mother, Avis Burland.\r\nMemorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, August 30, 2006, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Pastor Amy Odgren officiating. Burial will be private at Forest Hill Cemetery, Eau Claire. Family and friends may call one hour prior to the time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.
