Michael V. Rohlfs, 44 of 1215 South Dewey Street died Friday, January 12, 1996 at The Clairemont as a result of complications from diabetes.\r\nMike was born August 7, 1951 to Vernon and Virginia (Walker) Rohlfs in Eau Claire.He graduated from Memorial High School with the class of 1969. He was owner and operator of Rohlfs Drywall in Eau Claire. Mike was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church.\r\nHe was an avid sportsman enjoying fishing, hunting, trapshooting and had formerly been active in bowling and softball leagues.\r\nMike is survived by two daughters, Brooke and Mandy both of Athens; a step-daughter, Kelly Green of Eau Claire; his mother, Virginia Rohlfs; a sister, Mary (Mel) Blomquist; a niece and nephew, Michelle and Scott Blomquist all of Eau Claire; a special friend, Steve Mayer of Eau Claire; many other relatives and friends.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his father, Vernon in 1982; his grandparents, Karl and Eva Walker, and Peter and Ruth Rohlfs.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 2 P.M. Tuesday at Epiphany Lutheran Church with Pastor Frederick C. Sauder officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.\r\nFriends may call 4 to 8 P.M. Monday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
