Obituary

Michael C. Troy, 50, of 1005 6th Avenue, Eau Claire died unexpectedly Monday, May 20, 2002 at Sacred Heart Hospital. He was born on November 22, 1951 in Boston, Massachusetts to James G. and Louise H. (Rumpf) Troy.\r\nMike graduated from St. Thomas University in 1973 with a B.S. in Psychology and earned a M.E.D. from Northeastern University.\r\nHe was an elementary school counselor for 24 years, currently at Meadowview Elementary. He directed Courage Center Day Camp in Eau Claire for over 15 years and was an Adjunct Program Assistant Professor at St. Mary's University.\r\nMike is survived by his loving family; his wife Kathleen of 29 years; three daughters, Erin (PJ) Anzalone, Nicole and Alison; his parents; three brothers, Jim, Gary (Brenda) and Larry (Diane); three sisters, Susan Troy, Kathy Wood and Donna (Ken) Cimeno; mother and father-in-law George and Pat Reinhart; brother-in-law John (Maureen) Reinhart; two sisters-in-law Jean (Jim) Spies and Mary (Rich) Nygaard; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nMike loved children and the dedicated teachers that work with them. His infectious smile and kindness will be greatly missed.\r\nFuneral services will be at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 23, 2002 with Father George R. Szews officiating at Newman Parish Ecumenical Religious Center, 110 Garfield Ave. Family and friends may call from noon until time of services on Thursday at Newman Parish. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services is assisting the family.\r\nIn lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
