MILDRED EVELYN ANDERSON, 90, formerly Eau Claire, died Friday, April 3, 1998 at the Continental Manor Nursing Home in Abbotsford. She was born May 6, 1907 in Estherville, Iowa to Warren and Ethel (Hoover) Mc Mahon. Mildred moved with her family to Superior where she completed high school and graduated from Superior State University in 1933, with a bachelors in education. She taught school in Port Wing, Unity and Lodi. Mildred married Kenneth A. Anderson of Eau Claire, on July 28, 1934 in Superior. They moved to Wauwatosa, where they lived for 16 years, and moved to Eau Claire in 1951. Mildred was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, Eastern Star, a past member of Women's Club and sang in the Women's Club chorus for 26 years, and a past member of A.A.U.W. In 1973, she and Kenneth began spending part of the winter in Clearwater, FL. She moved to Stillwater, MN, in 1993 and then to Abbotsford in 1996.Survivors include two children, Dr. Richard (Marty) Anderson of Abbotsford and Susan (Allan) Martens of Marathon, FL.; five grandsons and two great-granddaughters.She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Kenneth in 1989. Funeral services will be at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home with Pastor Derril Peabody officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Church Cemetery. Friends may call 4:30 p.m. until time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.\r\n
