Obituary

MILDRED J. BRADY, 90, of 1804 Drummond St., died Sunday, October 1, 2000, at her home. She was born on January 9, 1910 in Eau Claire to William and Marie (Brimi) Brady. Mildred grew up in Eau Claire and graduated from Carlton College with a degree in education \r\nMildred was a consultant for Golden Press with their Little Golden Books in Racine, WI, and she headed the Reading Services for the Racine Public School System. Following her retirement in the late 60's, she returned to Eau Claire where she remained very involved with the Republican Party and the Will and Marie Brady Child Care Center and Luther Hospital.\r\nSurvivors include a brother, Richard Brady of Tampa, Fl; nieces and nephews, Mary Brady, Patrick Brady, Elizabeth Lurie, William Brady III, Sheila Fitzgerald and Brenda Ready; and several great nieces and great nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Frederick and William; and a sister, Elizabeth Brady.\r\nFuneral Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Christ Church Cathedral with The Very Rev. H. Scott Kirby officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and 12:30 p.m. Friday at the church until time of services.\r\nFamily requests memorials be directed to the Will and Marie Brady Children's Center at Luther Hospital or Luther Hospital.\r\n
