Mildred M. Francl, 90, of Eau Claire, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018, at HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. Mildred was born on August 6, 1927, in Benson, NE, to William and Rose (Krejci) Francl. She grew up on a farm and worked as a telegraph operator for the National Red Cross, and as a secretary for HUD in Minneapolis. She enjoyed travelling, walking and reading. Mildred is survived by her brother, Fred (Patty Farmer) Francl of Seattle, WA; special great niece, Denice Shepler of Eau Claire, WI; niece, Rose (Denny) Shepler of Eau Claire, and several other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, William "Rich" Francl, John Francl, Raymond (Helen) Francl and Rose (Herman) Kost. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, February 22, 2018, at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Eau Claire.
