Obituary

Mildred Larson Grinsel, 86, formerly of 831 East Grand Avenue died Tuesday, December 26, 1995 at M.B. Syverson Lutheran Home.\r\nMildred was born October 27, 1909 in Eau Claire to Gilbert and Christine (Thorseth) Larson. She graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School with the class of 1926. Mildred married Harry Lusk at the beginning of World War II in Boston,Massachusetts. Harry was killed in the Philippines during the Battle of Leyte Gulf. Sixteen years later Mildred married Arthur Grinsel in Eau Claire. Arthur died one year later on their wedding anniversary. \r\nShe worked 45 years with Firstar Bank, retiring as auditing clerk in 1974.\r\nShe was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and had formerly been active with it's Women of Grace. She had helped with the Girl Scouts and had been a member of Nordmen Forbundat, Lowes Creek Golf Course and Hillcrest Golf and Country Club.\r\nMildred is survived by two sisters, Avis Hilton of Eau Claire and Ruth Eickenberg of Chicago,IL; a sister-in-law, Virginia L. Larson of Eau Claire; three nephews, Bobby (Virginia) Larson of Portola,Ca., Gary Larson of Nashville,TN., Jack (Cherie) Hilton of New Canaan,CT.; a niece, Jane (Bernie) Mulheron of Eau Claire; three great nieces Bryn Popovich, Jennifer Hilton both of Fairfield,CT. and Holly Joe Mulheron and a great nephew, Andrew Mulheron both of Eau Claire; four great-great nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents, husbands and a brother, Robert C. Larson.\r\nMemorial services will be at 11 A.M. Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church Chapel with Pastor Obert I. Lowe officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services Saturday in the church chapel.\r\nFamily requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be directed to M.B. Syverson Lutheran Home or Grace Lutheran Church.\r\nLenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home is serving the Family.
