Obituary

MILDRED I. HENNING, 83, formerly of 550 Graham Ave., died Friday, December 10, 1999 at Village Christian Park Nursing Home in Zionsville, Indiana. She was born November 2, 1916 to William and Lydia (Pawelski) Strobel in the Town of Union, Eau Claire County. Mildred graduated from Luther School of Nursing in 1937. On August 3, 1940, she married Bernard T. Henning in Eau Claire. She worked at Luther Hospital, Presto Industries, and Mt. Washington Home, retiring from Mt. Washington Home as administrator in 1979.\r\nMildred was a member and Past President (1982) of the Luther Hospital Auxiliary; she was appointed by the Governor of Wisconsin to the Nursing Home Administrative Executive Board for six years; she served on the Rate Review Committee for Nursing Homes, and on the Board of Directors for the new Mt. Washington Club.\r\nSurvivors include her daughter, Fay (Delano Bryant) Henning, of Zionsville IN; four sisters, Lucille McSorley of Ashdown,AR, Irene Machala and Violet Relic, both of Naperville, IL, and Patricia Bell of Waukesha; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard in 1978.\r\nServices will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Lutheran Church with Pastor Thomas W. Bryan officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.Visitation will be an hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
