Mildred V. Meltz, 84, of 620 Deyo Ave., died Thursday, November 13, 1997, at Luther Hospital. She was born September 22, 1913, to H. Oscar and Anna (Nelson) Anderson in Eau Claire. Mildred grew up in Eau Claire and graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School with the Class of 1931. She married Leslie M. Meltz on June 1, 1935, in Eau Claire. Mildred was a lifelong member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church where she participated in several women's groups, including A.L.C.W. and the quilters' group. She enjoyed gettting together with the same card club since she was a teenager. She volunteered with the Community Service Group at the L.E. Phillips Senior Center, making stuffed toys for sick children.\r\nSurvivors include two daughters, Judith M. (Alan) Leipnitz of Prior Lake, MN, and Sandra J. Meltz, of Waterloo, WI; three grandsons, Mark (Shanna), Andrew (Blanca) Matthew (Darcie) Leipnitz; three great-grandchildren, Maxwell, Laura, and Heather; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Hamm of Altoona; and a sister-in-law, Rosamund Anderson of Cottage Grove, MN.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband Leslie, in 1988; two sisters, June Hamm and Gladys Holden; and one brother, Harold Anderson.\r\nFuneral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, with Pastor Gary F, Sahs officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
