Minda C. Pitt, 92, of Eau Claire, died Monday, June 6, 2005, at Dove Healthcare. She was born in the Town of Sand Creek, Wisconsin on May 22, 1913, the daughter of Eli and Johanna Olson.\r\nMinda married Alfred J. Pitt on July 5, 1940, in Nashua, Iowa.\r\nShe was a member of Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ.\r\nMinda is survived by her son, Collin of Shakopee, MN; her daughter, Linda K. Lingen, of St. Paul, MN; three grandchildren, Kenneth Pitt of Salt Lake City, UT, Jonathan (Brianne) Pitt of Bloomington, MN, and Katherine Pitt of Shakopee, MN; and three great grandchildren.\r\nMinda was a wonderful lady who was loved by all who knew her. She enjoyed people and provided us (her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren) with an unending pattern for living our lives. We will miss her, and will never stop loving her.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred, in 1983; a granddaughter, Emily Lingen; daughter-in-law, Marilou Pitt; two brothers, Sigward and George Olson; and two sisters, Marie Soper and Amy Gutsche.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 12, 2005, at Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ, with Rev. David Huber officiating. Family and friends may call one hour prior to services Sunday at the church. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in the Town of Washington.
