Morine C. Vobornik, 83, of Eau Claire, died Monday, December 6, 2010, at TruRehab Clairemont Nursing Home in Eau Claire, surrounded by her loving family.\r\nMorine was born on February 17, 1927, in Eau Claire to Emil and Gertrude (Frankenberg) Huse.\r\nMorine was a member of Pinehurst Lutheran Church and a member of the Bohemian Lodge.\r\nMorine married George C. Vobornik on November 21, 1943 in Chetek, WI. She and her husband farmed for ten years in Rusk County before moving to Eau Claire in1953. She was employed at Huebsch Laundry; Peters Meats for 15 years; Center of Care and an aide at Mt. Washington Home for 16 years.\r\nShe loved camping, traveling, the great outdoors, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.\r\nMorine is survived by three sons, George, Jr., James (Karen) and Larry (Diane) all of Eau Claire; five grandchildren, Angela Marie (Mike), Benjamin (Jennifer), Ryan (Stephanie), Laura (Brad), and Emily; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Mervel Huse and Walter (Rose) Huse both of Island Lake; and a sister, Marvel Huffman of Albuquerque, NM\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George in 1997; three brothers, Morris, Marshall and Wallace Huse; and a great-grandson, Wylan.\r\nFuneral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 10, 2010, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave in Eau Claire, with Pastor James J. Whatley officiating. Burial will be in Prairie View Cemetery in Chippewa Falls. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 9, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, and one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.\r\n
