MURIEL K. LARSON, 68, of Eau Claire, died Friday, July 28, 2000 at Luther Hospital. She was born March 7, 1932 to Benny and Gina (Jacobson) Anderson in Strum where she was raised. She attended Beauty School in Eau Claire and worked at Presto Industries. Muriel married Norman A. Larson at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Strum on November 19, 1955. After her children started school, Muriel worked in housekeeping at Luther Hospital for seventeen years, until her retirement in 1988. \r\nShe was a member of First Lutheran Church. Her hobbies included baking lefse, sewing for her grandchildren, knitting and needlepoint.\r\nSurvivors include two sons, Jeff and Dan, both of Eau Claire; three daughters, Jeanne (Ken) Liesen of St. Charles, IL, Gwyn (Tom) Ohms of Eau Claire, and Barb (Neal) White of Plainview, MN; eight grandchildren, Melissa, Mark, Jessica, Paul, Andrea, Erik, Erica and Alyssa; two brothers, Kermit (Arlene) Anderson of Shawano, and Ronald Anderson of Strum; two sisters, Jeanette Eide of Strum and Mavis Thode of Augusta; two brothers-in-law, Orville Monson of Osseo and Don (Bev) Larson of Eau Claire; two sisters-in-law, Vivian Anderson of Strum and Pearl Anderson of River Falls; and many nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband Norman in 1996; her parents; three brothers Richard, LaVerne, and George; and two sisters, Marjorie Guse and Geneva Monson.\r\nFuneral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dr. Duane C. Pederson officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Church Cemetery. Friends may call 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.\r\nThe family requests memorials be directed to First Lutheran Church.
