MYRTLE AURORA BUCKLEY, age 99, of 816 Porter Ave. and formerly of 1105 S. Barstow St., died Tuesday, March 31, 1998 at the M.B. Syverson Lutheran Home. Myrtle was born December 14, 1898 in Elk Mound, to Torvold and Alaine Marie (Tondal) Christopherson. She grew up on a farm near Elk Mound and attended Elk Mound school. Myrtle married Paul Buckley April 28, 1926 in Rochester, Minnesota. They owned and operated a lake resort at Ray, MN., until Paul's death in 1947. Myrtle moved to Eau Claire in 1948. She was employed as a buyer and clerk at J.C. Penney until her retirement in 1963.\r\nMyrtle was a member of Grace Lutheran Church since 1948, a charter member of A.A.R.P. and a 50 year member of the Order of The Eastern Star.\r\nSurvivors include a nephew, Vernon Dahl of California ; three nieces, Eva Johnson and Dorothy Dahl both of California, and Pat (Don) Dobson of Illinois; many great-nephews and nieces; and a host of friends as well as several cousins; and a special friend and cousin, Frances Christopherson of Elk Mound. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Arnold Christopherson; and two sisters, Cornelia Christopherson and Stella Dahl; and three nephews, Layton, Allen and Orin Dahl.\r\nThe family requests that memorials, please be directed to M.B.
