Obituary

Myrtle B. Charlson, 96, of 1342 Park Ave., Eau Claire, died Tuesday, September 16, 2003, at her home. She was born February 10, 1907 in Medford, WI, the daughter of Henry and Matilda (Pries) Boeckler. She graduated from Milwaukee Normal School and taught elementary school for several years in Jump River, WI and Utica, NY. \r\nMyrtle married Melvin R. Charlson on December 30, 1933 and moved with her family to Eau Claire in 1940.\r\nSurvivors include two daughters, Nancy (Earle) Stellwagen of Iowa City, IA and Karen (David) Holt of Winchester, MA; one son, C.H. Stuart (Barbara) Charlson of Eau Claire; one sister, Neva (Tom) Curran of Alton, IL; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.\r\nMyrtle was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; two sisters, Eunice Gill and Mae Scheuer; one brother, Tyler Boeckler; and one grandson, Michael Stellwagen.\r\nA memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 20, 2003 at First Lutheran Church Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Duane C. Pederson officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home is serving the family.
