MYRTLE H. STEIN, 91, formerly of St. Francis Apts., went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, June 18, 1997 at the Clairemont Nursing Home. She was born February 28, 1906 in Eau Claire to Martin and Emma (Harsheim) Hagen. She graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School with the class of 1924. Myrtle married Joseph Stein on April 29,1926 in Belvedere, Illinois. They were grocers in Milwaukee before moving to Eau Claire in 1957 where they owned and operated J and M Superette\r\nSurvivors include her husband, Joseph; two daughters, Lois Geroux of Eau Claire and Karen-Jo Stein of Altoona; two sons, Gerald (Ann) Stein of Neenah and Dan (Arlene) Stein of Altoona.; 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Louise Robertson, Edna Hagen and Cora Larson all of Eau Claire; many nieces and nephews.\r\nShe was preceded in death by a grandson, Benji; two brothers, Herman and Marvin; two sisters, Sophie Solfest and Dorothy Hagen.\r\nMyrtle has gone home to rest in the arms of Jesus where the many stars in her crown are shining brightly. She will be deeply missed until our happy reunion together.\r\nFuneral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Lenmark-Gomsrud Funeral Home with Pastor Scott D. Carlson of Hope United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home.\r\n
