Myrtle L. Tischman, 95, formally of Lake Wissota, passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Azura Memory Care in Eau Claire. Myrtle was born on July 16, 1917, in the Town of Arthur, Chippewa County, Wisconsin, the daughter of Albert and Carrie (Shervey) Lindberg. She attended Big Drywood Creek Grade School. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Myrtle was united in marriage to Lloyd E. Tischman on October 27, 1943, at Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. During World War II, she worked in the ammunition plant in Eau Claire and in the late 40's and 50's, Myrtle and Lloyd owned and operated Chippewa Valley Spinner Company. In the 1960's, they moved to the Lake Wissota area and lived there until Lloyd's death in 2004. From that time until her death, Myrtle resided at Forever Friends, Home Suite Home, Clark County Home, and Azura Memory Care. Myrtle is survived by her daughter, Lois (Kenneth) Sperber of Cadott; grandchildren, Marvin (Carol) Sperber, Randy (Margie), Denise (Arnie) Faaren, Raymond (Melissa) Sperber, and Alissa Sperber; great grandchildren, Justin (Jessica) Sperber and Crystal (Dean) Stangl, Jesse and Jordan Sperber, Anders and Kjrsten Faaren, and Shawnna and Alex Sperber; step great-great grandchildren, Josie and Jameson Sperber, and Denali Stangl. She is also survived by her step-daughter, Sandra (Richard) Tischman-Toussaint; step-grandchildren, Dr. Richard F. (Adelle) Toussaint, Jr., Denise (Pat) Avinger, Cheryl Sperier, and Jeffrey (Lynn); as well as her, step great-grandchildren; and a sister, Edna Bredesen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd; her parents; brothers, Albert, John, Julius, Rudolph and Carl Lindberg; sisters, Gertrude Zaruba, Alma Cox and Inga Thoen; and a brother-in-law, Jerome Bredeson. Funeral services will be held at 2p.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home, 814 First Ave., in Eau Claire with Pastor Rolf A. Nestingen officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in the Town of Washington. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
